Divorce Coaching · Mediation · Collaborative Divorce · Parenting Coordination · Expert ConsultationDivorce is a legal process occurring
inside a psychological system.
When coercive control, personality dynamics, fear, or entrenched relational patterns are shaping the conflict, understanding those dynamics changes how you navigate the divorce.
The psychology matters.
Divorce is shaped by more than legal positions. Personality, attachment, fear, power, family history, financial concerns, and the meaning each person gives to the separation can influence what happens next.
Dr. Danback brings the perspective of a clinical psychologist, psychoanalyst, mediator, and collaborative divorce professional to this work, helping people understand the dynamics influencing communication, negotiation, parenting, and decision-making.
Greater understanding creates more room for deliberate action.
A path for every stage of the conflict
Divorce Coaching
Divorce can make intelligent, capable people question their own judgment. We help you understand the relational dynamics affecting the conflict, clarify what matters, and make thoughtful decisions about your children, finances, legal strategy, and life beyond divorce.
Practical support informed by psychological depth.
Mediation
As a neutral third party, Dr. Danback helps both people examine not only what they are asking for, but what may be driving their positions. The goal is a thoughtful, workable agreement that addresses the issues at hand while reducing unnecessary psychological and financial harm.
Collaborative Divorce
All parties sign an agreement pledging to work toward a settlement without litigation. The team includes both parties, each party's lawyer, and a financial professional, working together to ensure a balanced process that stays positive and productive without court intervention.
Parenting Coordination
When parents remain caught in recurring disputes, children can carry the psychological cost. Dr. Danback helps parents implement existing parenting plans, address time-sensitive decisions, reduce repeated conflict, and keep their children's developmental and emotional needs at the center.
Expert Consultation
Dr. Danback consults with attorneys and clients on complex relational and psychological dynamics that may be affecting a divorce, parenting dispute, or litigation strategy. Her clinical perspective can help clarify patterns of coercive control, personality functioning, communication, and family dynamics that may otherwise be difficult to understand.
Not every divorce belongs in a courtroom.
When appropriate, mediation and collaborative divorce can preserve privacy, reduce financial and psychological costs, and give families greater control over important decisions.
The right process depends on the people, the dynamics, and the circumstances.
"I listen for what is happening beneath the conflict. When we understand what is driving the behavior, not simply the behavior itself, we have more choices about what happens next."

Educating the court about what really happened.
Expert witnesses are qualified, by experience and careful study, to form definite opinions within their field and present concrete facts to the court. When the truth of a family's story needs to be told, credentials and clarity matter.
In her practice, Dr. Danback has been retained to review evidence such as emails, texts, and doctors' notes, speak with collaterals, and interview the individuals involved, in order to educate the judge about narcissistic abuse or domestic violence that has taken place and how it impacts custody.
First, we understand the whole picture.
We begin with what is happening: the conflict, the family, the legal and financial realities, the psychological dynamics, and what you need help navigating.
From there, we determine the right kind of support: divorce coaching, mediation, collaborative divorce, expert consultation, psychotherapy, or a combination of resources when appropriate.
The situation determines the support. Not the other way around.
Our work includes high-conflict divorce, coercive control, narcissistic and psychologically confusing relationships, difficult co-parenting dynamics, divorce decision-making, mediation, parenting coordination, and post-divorce adjustment.
Start with the story, not the service.
You do not need to know whether you need divorce coaching, mediation, collaborative divorce, psychotherapy, or another kind of support. Tell us what is happening. We will help you understand the situation and determine what comes next.
